Amine Ghali

Director

The Director of Al Kawakibi Democracy Transition Center (KADEM) working on issues of democracy reform and transition in the Arab region.Currently he focuses his contribution on the democracy transition process in Tunisia, especially on political reform, on elections and on transitional justice issues. Following the revolution in Tunisia, he has been appointed as member of the National Commission to Investigate Corruption (March 2011 – Feb 2012) then member of the National Commission on the Transitional Justice Dialogue (May– October 2012)

Manel Koubaa

Finance and Admin Manager

The Finance and Admin Manager at Al-Kawakibi Democracy Transition Center since October 2008.Mrs. Koubaa’s responsibilities are, but not limited to: -Logistics-preparation and organization of activities and seminars in Tunisia and abroad (Morocco, Jordan, Lebanon, Bahrain, Egypt, Libya, Finland, and more) - Preparation of provisional budget for the organization’s programs - Financial reporting - Booking, and recording the financial flow -Supervising national, regional, and international activities in Tunisia and abroad.Mrs. Koubaa obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance in 2002 and Master’s in Finance in 2004 from the “Institut Supérieur de Gestion - ISG Tunis

Ahmed Aloui

Researcher

Ahmed Aloui is a researcher in law at Al Kawakibi democracy transition center, a PhD student at the Faculty of Legal, Political and Social Sciences of Tunis and a master's degree holder in law. Ahmed is an active member in Tunisian Association Defending Individual liberties.He participated in the elaboration of the book "Transitional justice in Tunisia, Absence of a strategy and the preponderance of improvisation: January/October 2011" in 2013.He also participated in the preparation of several studies:"Governance of human rights in Tunisia" in 2013, "Transitional Justice in Tunisia: Finally the law" in 2014, "Public funding of the associations in Tunisia" in 2015, "Public structures of Human Rights in Tunisia: What changes? November 2013-November 2014"  published by KADEM in FEB 2015, "To participate is to have hope ... The participation of victims in the process of transitional justice in Tunisia" published by KADEM in OCT 2015, "the victim zone and collective reparations, Ain Draham and Sidi makhlouf: So rich and yet so poor" published by KADEM in MAI 2016.

Sourour Tlili

Project officer

Sourour tlili born in Tunisia in April 18, 1990. Sourour has received a basic degree in information science and communications in 2012 and a master's degree in political communication in 2015 from the Institute of Press and Information Sciences. She made several trainings such as communications officer and event’s organizer at the Institute of Press and Information Sciences and the Independent High Authority for Audiovisual Communication. As she made a political communication training with the German organization "konrad Adenauer schtiftung". she worked as a journalist in a documentation society " clear Line", a team leader in a French online marketing company "International wellcom" project assistant media and communication in the center of Geneva for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces, in charge communication in the German organization "media in Cooperation and transition". Sourour now holds the position of project officer in AL Kawakibi democratic transition center.

Hajer Ben Hamza

Riadh Dziri

Project Coordinator

After he completed his secondary education, Riadh Dziri proceeded his higher education in the faculty of sciences of Tunis as a computer science student where he obtained his bachelor's degree in computer science with high honors in 2013. He got his master's degree in the same field. Riadh speaks mainly three languages Arabic, French and English.He is a co-founder and had been for several months a vice-president in charge of external relations the NGO “Tunisian Ambassadors for Development TAD” and is an active member in a humanitarian organization named Tunaide for over 4 years now. Currently, RIadh i a project coordinator at Al-Kawakibi democracy transition center.

KADEM is a technical, non-governmental regional organization specialized in knowledge transfer, expertise-sharing and capacity-building in the field of democratic transition.  It is founded on the principle of partnership among organizations and experts across the Arab region and beyond.KADEM was set up in Amman, Jordan, in June 2006. Following the Revolution in Tunisia, KADEM was registered in July 2011 as an association subject to Tunisian law.

KADEM seeks to enhance the contribution of Arab civil societies to democratic transition processes, thereby strengthening the foundations of national sovereignty, and promoting good governance based on social justice, economic development, gender equality, and broad popular participation in decision-making, as well as on the principles of rule of law, transparency, protection of human rights and individual/public freedoms, and peaceful alternation of power.
