In cooperation with the Governance Departmentsat the Presidency of the Government, , Kawakibi Democracy Transition Centerorganized a conferenceon “Good Governance in the Public Sector”held on June 10, 2019 in Africa hotel in Tunis.
More than 50 participants had attended the conference; most of them work on Governance in various ministries, local authority structures and a number of public institutions.
The conference was an opportunity to highlight the importance of Good Governance in the public sector, through discussing indicators and assessing mechanisms to review some aspects of the Tunisian experience in Good Governance. This was analyzedin relation to SDG 16 (the Goals of Sustainable Development) with an emphasisput onthe role of civil society in supporting Good Governance, such as the Tunisian Association of Public Observers.
