As part of its work on the rule of law and in partnership with the Center for Legal and Judicial Studies, Kawakibi Democracy Transition Center organized a workshop on “Reforming the Real Estate Sector in Tunisia” on June 11, 2020.
The workshop was an opportunity to present a study on the subject prepared by the director of the Center for Legal and Judicial Studies, Mr. Mounir El-Ferchichi. It tackled the reality of the situation of the real estate registry, agricultural real estate, and residential real estate in Tunisia… In addition to the challenges and obstacles facing the real estate sector in relation to the rules of holding the real estate registry and the structure of the court Real Estate and the surveyor.
The workshop was held in the presence of various involved parties, including courts, agencies and ministries directly related to the issue.
A discussion was held on studying and interacting with different opinions and recommendations that could contribute to reforming the real estate sector or even to introduce amendements. Participants and organizers also agreed to continue working to enhance advocacy efforts and a comprehensive overhaul of the real estate sector.
