In partnership with Search for Common Ground, Kawakibi Democracy Transition Center organized a training workshop on project management, micro projects financing and monitoring and evaluation on January 17-19, 2020. This comes as part of a project “Supporting CSO engagement in Security Sector Reform”. The training was addressed to associations chosen to realize projects in several selected regions of Ben Arous governorate, Bizerte, Sousse and Mednine.
This meeting was a valuable opportunity to present the project objectives, in addition to the challenges faced by the organizers. CSO representatives held a presentation of their small projects conducted in the above-mentioned areas addressing local security challenges in these selected areas; such as violence in stadiums, drugs in school environment, the role of women in preventing violent extremism, violence and suicide…
In this context and during the training there was an emphasis put on the skills of participants on project management and finances, as well as their evaluation and follow-up.
Furthermore, a presentation was held to tackle the learned lessons from the first phase of the project with the participants of the second phase.
At the end of the training workshop, the organizers expressed their support for the partner CSOs and for their small projects which were realized in different regions. They had also stated that preparations for the success of this phase of the project would be essentially based on a participatory method.
