KADEM’s interest in Transitional Justice in the Arab regions started in early 2008, given the importance of such process in ensuring successful transitions.

A series of brainstorming meetings and workshops across the region yielded a strategy of action, a roster of expertise, and a growing dynamics involving actors from the region and elsewhere.

These founding steps led, in subsequent years, to the development of comprehensive programs and diverse projects, positioning the Center as one of the main actors of Transitional Justice both in Tunisia and in the Arab region, liaising with different national, regional and international institutions.
